Costa Rica Tidal Summit

By Michael Droste — 3rd March, 2026

Grown high in the mountains of the Perez Zeledón region and carried by Pacific winds, Tidal Summit captures the bright clarity only high-elevation Costa Rica coffees can deliver. Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) grade and carefully washed before sun drying, this lot expresses the region’s volcanic soils with precision and lift.

The cup opens with bright, citrus-tinged acidity — lively but controlled — followed by a smooth medium body that settles like warm sand underfoot. Brown sugar sweetness anchors the profile, while notes of brown spice and ripe stone fruit add depth and quiet intrigue. Think nectarine, a hint of clove, and raw sugar dissolving slowly on the tongue.

Catuai and Caturra varieties bring structure and balance, allowing the clean washed process to shine. The finish is crisp, sweet, and lingering — like salt air at dusk.

This is beach coffee for thinkers. Sunshine with altitude.
